Hello Everyone!
This is my first official post, which I'm sure I'll edit many times before I publish. (But you're not supposed to know that) As I tap my way into the land of blogging I hope to impart a little knowledge, food talk, business encouragement and, if you can bear with me, some humor and stories (sometimes going hand-in-hand) to make you SMILE!
Together with my Facebook posts and semi-weekly/monthly emails (for those who wish to sign up go to patricescakes@gmail.com), I will keep you all informed about my products, pricing, and experimental (sometimes just mental) baking, as well as have some plain 'ol SUNNY CALIFORNIA chatter (dry humor comment)!
And, Sacramento is not without its share of the heat so it just makes sense that we start our first blog with
ICE CREAM MADNESS
Without a doubt I can tell you that I just dove right into the ice cream pool!
Earlier this month I peeled three Haas avocados and made. . . yes, 1. Avocado Ice Cream!
Very smooth and creamy with the essence of luscious avocado goodness. Some friends have paired it with mango and bananas. YUM! I've just had a bunch as-is. I'm curious if an ice cream BLTA can be had?
(My version: a crispy, peppered waffle cone, hickory-smoked bacon bits, tomato-jam sauce, basil chips...huh?)
My next creation was a no-brainer.
2. CHEESECAKE ICE CREAM . . .let's just pause and reflect on those three words.
Absolute Heavenly cheesecake richness, slightly drowned in a tart, fresh blueberry sauce.
Remember, I reminded you all earlier that my photography skills are so and so. Review the top of this blog for the set up and here we have a dish worthy of a real Blueberry Cheesecake. Hmmm, tilt your head to the right and this dish "could" look like C-3PO, however brief. (sorry) It was delish!
So ends today's ice cream rambling. Hang in there, friends! Blogging for me can only improve with age...
(I better hurry........................!)
